<\/figure>NASA, Axiom Space, and SpaceX will provide coverage of the upcoming prelaunch and launch activities for the third private astronaut mission to the International Space Station.<\/p>\n
Liftoff of Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3) is scheduled for 5:11 p.m. EST Wednesday, Jan. 17, from Launch Complex 39A at NASA\u2019s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The crew will travel to the orbiting outpost aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft after launching on the company\u2019s Falcon 9 rocket.<\/p>\n

Learn how to stream NASA TV<\/a> through a variety of platforms, including social media.<\/p>\n NASA\u2019s mission responsibility is for integrated operations, which begins during the spacecraft\u2019s approach to the International Space Station, continues during the crew\u2019s stay aboard the orbiting laboratory conducting science, education, and commercial activities, and concludes once Dragon exits the area of the space station.<\/p>\n The Ax-3 crew members are Commander Michael L\u00f3pez-Alegr\u00eda, Pilot Walter Villadei of Italy, Mission Specialist Alper Gezeravc\u0131 of Turkey, and ESA (European Space Agency) project astronaut Marcus Wandt of Sweden.<\/p>\n NASA, Axiom Space, and SpaceX joint coverage of the Ax-3 launch is as follows (all times Eastern):<\/p>\n Tuesday, Jan. 16<\/strong><\/p>\n 8 p.m. \u2013 Prelaunch News Conference (targeted for one hour following the Launch Readiness Review)<\/p>\n The prelaunch news conference will focus on final preparations for the Ax-3 mission. It will discuss the results of the Launch Readiness Review, which evaluates the mission hardware and its readiness for launch.
