<\/a>The seven-member\u00a0Expedition-67<\/a>\u00a0crew split their time studying burning in microgravity, space manufacturing, testing an ultrasound device, and more, in addition to conducting some maintenance work aboard the\u00a0International Space Station<\/a>.<\/p>\n NASA Flight Engineer\u00a0Jessica Watkins<\/a>\u00a0focused on setting up the\u00a0Combustion Integrated Rack<\/a>\u00a0inside the\u00a0U.S. Destiny laboratory module<\/a>\u00a0to support the operations for the SoFIE-GEL, or\u00a0Solid Fuel Ignition and Extinction \u2013 Growth and Extinction Limit<\/a>, study. The investigation measures the amount of heating in a fuel sample to determine how fuel temperature affects material flammability. Results could improve understanding of early fire growth behavior and help determine optimal fire suppression techniques, improving crew safety in future space facilities.<\/p>\n NASA Flight Engineer\u00a0Kjell Lindgren<\/a>\u00a0opened the\u00a0Cell Biology Experiment Facility<\/a> to set up the\u00a0Rodent Research-22<\/a>\u00a0experiment. He also completed a Robotic On-Board Trainer for Research (ROBoT-r) session as part of the\u00a0Behavioral Core Measures<\/a>\u00a0experiment. Later in the day, Lindgren performed the fourth medical technology demonstration of the\u00a0Butterfly IQ Ultrasound<\/a>\u00a0device, focused on testing the effectiveness of a portable ultrasound device used in conjunction with a mobile device in the space environment. Such commercial off-the-shelf technology could provide essential medical capabilities for future deep space exploration missions.<\/p>\n ESA (European Space Agency) Flight Engineer\u00a0Samantha Cristoforetti<\/a>\u00a0conducted public affairs activities for ESA and moved cargo from the SpaceX CRS-25 Dragon spacecraft. NASA Flight Engineer\u00a0Bob Hines<\/a>\u00a0worked on the\u00a0Genes in Space-9<\/a>\u00a0investigation,\u00a0\u00a0Space Fibers-3<\/a>\u00a0space manufacturing study, and transferred supplies from the Dragon spacecraft.<\/p>\n The station\u2019s three cosmonauts focused mainly on maintenance and exercise. Commander\u00a0Oleg Artemyev<\/a>\u00a0spent his morning searching for leaks in the\u00a0Zvezda service module<\/a>\u00a0while cosmonaut\u00a0Sergey Korsakov<\/a>\u00a0checked the brakes on the European Robotic Arm. Cosmonaut\u00a0Denis Matveev<\/a>\u00a0set up an electrocardiogram for a 24-hour survey of his heart health.
