NASA\u2019s live coverage is underway\u00a0on NASA+<\/a>, Amazon Prime<\/a>, and\u00a0the agency\u2019s YouTube<\/a>\u00a0channel\u00a0for\u00a0the return of\u00a0the agency\u2019s\u00a0SpaceX Crew-11\u00a0mission. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Jan. 8, NASA\u00a0decided<\/a>\u00a0to return\u00a0Crew-11\u00a0earlier than originally\u00a0planned as teams\u00a0monitored\u00a0a medical concern with a crew member currently living and working aboard the\u00a0International Space Station.\u00a0The crew member is stable. \u00a0<\/p>\n

NASA astronauts\u202fZena\u00a0Cardman<\/a>\u202fand\u202fMike Fincke<\/a>, JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Kimiya Yui, and\u202fRoscosmos cosmonaut Oleg\u00a0Platonov will close the hatch at\u00a0approximately\u00a03:30\u00a0p.m. EST\u00a0between the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft and the\u00a0orbital complex.\u00a0<\/p>\n

NASA will provide live undocking coverage at\u00a04:45\u00a0p.m.\u00a0on NASA+<\/a>, Amazon Prime<\/a>, and\u00a0the agency\u2019s YouTube<\/a>\u00a0channel. The spacecraft will autonomously undock from the space station within a one-hour window which begins at after 5 p.m. for its return to Earth..\u00a0<\/p>\n

NASA and SpaceX are targeting\u00a0splashdown at\u00a0approximately\u00a03:41\u00a0a.m.\u00a0on\u00a0Thursday,\u00a0Jan. 15,\u00a0off the coast of\u00a0California. NASA will provide coverage of deorbit burn, entry, and\u00a0splashdown\u00a0beginning at\u00a02:15 a.m.\u00a0on NASA+<\/a>, Amazon Prime<\/a>, and\u00a0the agency\u2019s YouTube<\/a>\u00a0channel.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

As part of NASA\u2019s Commercial Crew Program, the Crew-11\u00a0mission will return\u00a0to Earth\u00a0after completing a long-duration science mission aboard the\u00a0space station.\u00a0Cardman, Fincke, Yui, and\u00a0Platonov\u00a0launched\u00a0on\u00a0Aug. 1, 2025, and docked to the space station\u00a0a day later.\u00a0It\u00a0was Fincke\u2019s fourth spaceflight, Yui\u2019s second, and the first for\u00a0Cardman\u00a0and Platonov.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
