Over the course of several hours, technicians meticulously connected the inner and outer segments of NASA\u2019s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope.<\/div>\n

Two technicians look up at NASA\u2019s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope<\/a> after its inner and outer segments were connected<\/a> at the agency\u2019s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland on Nov. 25, 2025. This marked the end of Roman\u2019s construction. After final testing, the telescope will move to the launch site at NASA\u2019s Kennedy Space Center in Florida for launch preparations in summer 2026. Roman \u00a0\u2014 named after\u00a0Dr. Nancy Grace Roman<\/a>, NASA\u2019s first chief astronomer \u2014 is slated to launch by May 2027, but the team is on track for launch as early as fall 2026.<\/p>\n
